2021 End of school year celebration
Thrive of Mogtedo hosted the first event at the School of Mogtedo by celebrating the end of the school year. In the past, the last day of school was only for the student to receive their progress report card and then return home. With the start of our organization we were able to hold a fundraiser to raise money for the school to celebrate, inviting the village community to participate.
The Director of the school, Issouf Nikiema, stated, “Today I would like to say thank you on behalf of the village of Mogtedo. The memories of today will stay with the village forever. We are happy that our students received food and prize. Our community enjoyed the ceremony.”
Below are things we were able to do this week for the students and teachers because of your donations:
Feed 278 students and 100 guests from the village community;
Reward 35 students each with t-shirts, bags of rice, and textbooks;
Reward each of the 12 teachers with 10,828.57 CAF ($20) a small cash bonus as a small thank you for their tireless work on behalf of their students.
Through your generous donations, we have been able to support more students than ever before!
